Trust & Verification
Rating Methodology
This page explains, in plain language, how we verify providers and how ratings are calculated — so patients and providers both know exactly what a badge or rating means before they rely on it.
How Verification Works
Every provider and facility listed on TrueGlow Miami is checked against public records from two Florida state agencies:
- Florida Department of Health (DOH) — license number, license status (active/inactive), board certification, specialty, and any disciplinary actions on the public record.
- Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) — facility license status and accreditation, including whether a listed address has a state license on file at all.
We report presence or absence in the public record only. A facility shown as “No state license found for this address” is a factual statement about what we could not find in AHCA's records — not an accusation, and not proof of wrongdoing.
Claimed vs. Unclaimed Profiles
Every provider in Miami-Dade and Broward gets a profile automatically from public license data. Unclaimed profiles show verified license data only — no bio, procedures, or pricing are ever invented on a provider's behalf. Once a provider verifies their identity and claims their profile, they can add that information themselves.
How Ratings Are Calculated
Reviews can only be left by patients who complete a verified-visit check. Ratings are based on specific categories (such as results, bedside manner, and cleanliness) rather than a single number, so patients can see what a rating is actually measuring. Reviews go through an AI-moderation check against written rules before publishing, and can be flagged by the community for re-review.
No provider can pay to remove, hide, or suppress a review, and paid status never affects where a provider ranks in search results. Sponsored content is always separately labeled.
Data Freshness
License and facility data are re-synced from DOH, AHCA, and Google on a regular schedule. If a data source sync fails, we do not silently show stale data as current — sync health is monitored internally so issues get caught quickly.
